"My antique wedding gown is from the 1950's. I could just imagine it tucked away in a trunk waiting to be rediscovered!" ~ Brenda Chovanak

Size chart: Our selection of available authentic vintage wedding gowns range from size 0-12. All gowns are measured flat on a table and compared to a bridal size chart. You are perfect and beautiful JUST the way you are, so don't change a thing... We regularly have brides purchase our smallest-sized gowns for the VINTAGE FABRICS. The fabrics and trims are heirlooms that average 50 years old. IMAGINE... these reused for a "something old" look to your custom gown. Many times, a full skirt of lovely ruffles can be left original and "married" to a reworked top half.
Something old... Something new Something borrowed and something blue.

CLICK on photo to enlarge This 1960s era gown with matching veil is our volunteers' pick for the featured gown from the donated collection. Designed by Miss Betsy, the unique gown is an a-line with a wide (3-4" wide) satin bow detail on bust that continues down to hem. Trimmed in thick lace "medallions" that measure over 3" with center "flower" that's 1" and very 3-D textural. The entire gown is made of a thick horizontal ribbed fabric, described by our volunteers as almost heavy upholstery material that's fully lined inside. In back, it has a metal zipper closure, with a gathered bustle effect that begins high at the shoulder blades. The train is sweep length (extends beyond the hem by just 5-6"). To bustle the train, it buttons under, forming a "bubble effect". MEASUREMENTS: Petite length (shoulder to hem) volunteers in photos are 5'4" - 5'5" Shoulder-to-shoulder seam (back) 14" Bust (under arm-to-under arm seam in front) no larger than a C-cup bra Hips: A-line style volunteers in photos are both under 41". NOTE: These photos were taken of the gown prior to restoration. Although it had an ivory patina then, it has since been returned to a beautiful bright white. PRICE: $599.00 proceeds benefit the Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation. CONTACT: antiquegowns@makingmemories.org or 425.241.2823

"Thank you for featuring this lovely dress. I am an Orthodox Jew, and must adhere to laws of modesty in dress. Let me tell you how difficult it is to find modest wedding gowns! I was thrilled to find this particular gown. I am marrying on September 26, 2004 and hope to wear a very simple veil and shoes. Thanks again. Love your web site!" Alison
"I pulled around the corner to my house and there was a huge box on the porch. I was so excited that I shook all over as I opened the package. I love it!" Leslie
"I absolutely love it! This is exactly the dress I had drawn in pictures when I was a little girl...who knew I'd have to skip back a couple of decades to find it?!" Carrie
"Just wanted to let you know the dress arrived. Will make an awesome Halloween costume. I am going as the phantom of the opera and my sister will be Christine. Thanks again!" Steven
